Radiation...

Had my followup appointment Tuesday and I'm doing alright. I'm down just over 11 pounds from my last visit. Still a lot more to go but I'm calling it a win. I'm healing well from my hysterecomy and got the ok to go back to work. Work on the other hand is like how about next Friday and I'm very frustrated with them. How am I suppose to make money to pay my bills if they keep freaking out over me having cancer? I also got the referral  in for the radiology oncologist to go in and plan radiation out. I love how you're shuffled between doctors all in different locations. All we're told is hey you can "observe" or you can have vaginal brachytherapy for a week or two. More stuff to look forward to.

Now the obligatory Jamberry post. They have a new gift set available since they sold out of the new one. It has the 3 wraps from the original gift set and adds the December exclusive (I love this one)

And now for knitting and puppy pictures because who doesn't love puppies!

Less then 2 days...

There is less then 2 days until my follow up appointment with Cancer Care Northwest. I will find out more about my pathology report from my hysterectomy and plan out future treatments. I know there will be radiation for sure but I'm hoping to back to work. I really miss going to work and seeing people and baking in a kitchen with a dishwasher.

I cast on Spatterdash wristwarmers tonight, no pics yet though. I'll work on that tomorrow. Spent the morning sleeping and the afternoon out cutting down a tree for Christmas. We went to a tree farm this year and I was impressed. It wasn't as much fun as driving around and finding a tree out in the forest but my husband says he's not driving into 3 feet of snow for my tree.  I'm giving the 2 puppies a few days to get use to the idea of not chewing on the branches before I decorate it. Last year we didn't put a tree so I'm very excited to have one this year. I think part of it is my cancer. I'm here and alive and intend to enjoy every minute I can.

The Black Friday sale for Jamberry ends tomorrow. This is your last chance to get one of the 13 exclusive wraps available this weekend. 12 they brought back that were the Sister's Style Exclusive for the past 12 months and the wrap you can get for spending $50. Personally I'm super excited for the Black Friday only wrap.

These are the 12 brought back for the weekend. Below you'll find the 7 day challenge pic (I should make a new one) and an example of using the largest two wraps for a pedicure. Your nails last up to 2 weeks and toes up to 6 weeks. I rarely leave my wraps on longer then 1 week. I like to trade them out for a different look so the longest I made it was 10 days then I took them off for my stay in the hospital.

Meanwhile...

Shortly after my last post I was diagnosed with Uterine cancer and it's been a roller coaster ride these last two months. I have had a complete hysterectomy and am in recovery from that. I am now waiting for my follow up appointment on Tuesday to plan out radiation and any other treatments the doctor has in mind.

In the last week we bought a second puppy, she's 9 weeks and a yellow lab. I also started selling Jamberry nail wraps.

From one sheet of of Let It Snow wraps and a half sheet of Barely Blue (the sparkle) I got 3 manicures. We only used 3 of the wraps from Barely Blue as accent nails. I love these things.

There is a fantastic deal going on right now where you can buy 4 wraps and get 2 free, one is the black friday wrap and one is your choice.

I have a ton of samples to hand out too. If you'd like to try out some wraps you can join my Facebook group or leave me a comment below.

One of the awesome things about Jamberry is that you can host a party and get some great hostess gifts and you can do it all online.

Pesky Pup

My puppy has been very naughty lately. She must be upset that I'm back to working even if it is only 4 days a week instead of 5. She took an afternoon and chewed on all my knitting projects. Frankensocks....big hole in foot of them and the sock isn't even finished. Blue pair I had set aside to gift for Christmas....teeth marks one stitch wide, looks like she grabbed and flung and grabbed and flung. So I took a hiatus and did no crafts for a week. It was a real struggle not to pick up needles and cast on a new project or work on an old one. I finally gave in and cast on a new pair of toe up socks.

I'm really liking stripey yarn and regretting not getting more of this yarn before it was discontinued. It's ocean colored Luxury Sock by Loops & Threads. I'm doing a basic toe up with Judy's magic cast on and this heel by Sarah Keller. I use these two a lot because I like them but I'm open to suggestions on heels.
This is my destroyer of yarn, doesn't she look comfy?

She just likes to sprawl next to me on the couch.

This is my current cross stitch project. I tend to jump around a lot though so it could be something new next week.

It's Sunday!

It's a day for watching last night's episode of Doctor Who followed by football all. I like to pull out cross stitch projects I might work on for the next week and assessing the knitting projects I have going on. I like to plan out my week even if I don't follow that plan very well, I call it a starting point.

I'm very slowly knitting this sock.
It's called Flatland and is designed by Caoua Coffee. I love the neon yarns and really need to buy some more.

I'm making some franken socks as well. I plan on using up some scraps to make as many different ankle socks as I can.

This is my puppy Charlie. She's about 6 1/2 months old. You'll probably see a lot of her.

I just finished these ornaments up and I have 3 more beaded ones to make.
